Solar – Powered Cooling and Refrigeration for Rural Healthcare and Food Security
A major threat to healthcare delivery in the rural areas is lack of reliable – if any – access to power. Industry statistics estimate that about 400 million people, mostly in the rural communities in sub-Saharan Africa depend on health facilities that have no access to electricity.
Our COOHL+ solution provides solar-powered DC freezers and refrigeration equipment to hospitals and primary health centers in the rural areas to ensure preservation of temperature-sensitive medical equipment, vaccines, blood samples, medicines etc. Ensuring preservation of these limited resources is one sure way of helping healthcare providers to save lives in these rural communities and improve health.
The COOHL+ solutions are also provided to farmers for preservation of agricultural produce to cub post harvest losses and enhance food security.
